Nancy Pilat-Renner
Photographer’s Profile

Shooting professionally since 1993, Nancy Pilat-Renner has had a love of photography since high school. Having photographed many weddings and special events over the years, she has developed a unique and distinctive style.

Nancy's formal training is supported by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, one of the top journalism schools in the Southeastern United States. At USC, Nancy completed many photojournalism, media arts and art courses, allowing her a degree minor in "Photojournalism." Following the years after graduation, she has attended and completed many photography workshops and seminars. Nancy also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Webster University.

In 2009, Nancy began a two year course to pursue her Certification in Professional Photography. This is an extensive program that requires passing a National Certification Test as well as submitting photographic images to show her style, technique and creativity. Achieving the Certification in Professional Photography is a major goal of Nancy’s and will allow her to pursue further accreditation with Professional Photographers of America.

In the early days, shooting with a used Minolta XG-9, Nancy was able to perfect her style. Today she is completely digital and uses a Nikon D-90 to capture her client's most special memories.

A member of International Christian Photographers, Professional Photographers of America, Southeastern Professional Photographers and the South Carolina Professional Photographer's Association, Nancy Pilat-Renner is a photographer you can trust with your most important life events.

As a way to give back to others, Nancy works with two very special organizations: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep which does infant remembrance photography and Heart Gallery which provides portraits to SC Foster Children.

On a more personal note, Nancy considers her photography a “Gift from God.” It is her ministry. Let her share it with you.
